, meaning “light,” “illumination,” and “radiance.” This Name proclaims that Allah is
The Light of the heavens and the earth, whose guidance and presence illuminate all existence.
As The Source of Light, He dispels all darkness—both in our hearts and in the universe—and grants clarity and vision.

An-Nūr appears in the Qur’an most famously in the “Verse of Light,” illustrating His all-encompassing radiance.
