Al-Muqit


1. Explanation of the Name

Al‑Muqīt comes from the root ق‑و‑ت (Q‑W‑T), meaning “to nourish,” “to sustain,” and “to provide strength.” This Name proclaims that Allah is The Sustainer and Provider of Strength, who maintains all creation with perfect care and supplies every creature with what it needs to live and thrive.

As The Nourisher, He preserves life by providing food, energy, and inner resilience—both physical and spiritual—ensuring His creation remains in balance.


2. About This Name

Al‑Muqīt appears in the Qur’an to remind us that every form of strength and sustenance ultimately comes from Allah’s unceasing care.

“And He is the Ever‑Preserver over you.”

Invoking Al‑Muqīt deepens our reliance on His provision—trusting that He will nourish our bodies, hearts, and souls in every circumstance.
