الْحَكِيمُ

Al-hakim

1. Explanation of the Name

Al‑Ḥakīm comes from the root ح‑ك‑م (Ḥ‑K‑M), meaning “to judge,” “to decide with wisdom,” and “to govern.” This Name proclaims that Allah is The Most Wise, whose knowledge and wisdom encompass every aspect of existence, guiding all creation with perfect insight.

As The Source of Ultimate Wisdom, His decisions and decrees are based on complete understanding. Nothing is beyond His wise design and purposeful planning.

2. About This Name

Al‑Ḥakīm appears throughout the Qur’an to remind us that every law, every occurrence, and every turn of fate is underpinned by divine wisdom.
