الْفَتَّاحُ

Al-Fattah

1. Explanation of the Name

Al-Fattāḥ comes from the root ف-ت-ح (F-T-H), meaning “to open,” “to grant victory,” and “to make accessible.” This Name declares that Allah is The Opener and Granter of Success, who unlocks every door—of ease, guidance, and breakthroughs for His servants.

As The Key-Holder, He removes barriers, makes paths clear, and grants breakthroughs in both spiritual and worldly affairs according to His perfect wisdom.

2. About This Name

Calling upon Al-Fattāḥ reminds us that true relief and victory come only through Allah’s opening of our affairs.

“And We have certainly given you, [O Muḥammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur’an...”
— Qur’an 15 : 87-89

This invocation brings clarity when affairs are confusing and strength when doors of opportunity seem closed.

3. Spiritual Reflection

Reflecting on Al-Fattāḥ teaches us to seek Allah’s opening—not only in our ambitions but in our hearts—inviting His guidance and mercy to remove our spiritual blockages.

“Our Lord, pour upon us patience and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people.”
— Qur’an 2 : 250
