Al-Bāqī (ٱلْبَاقِي) comes from the root
ب-ق-ي (B-Q-Y), meaning “to remain,” “to endure,” and “to persist.” This Name proclaims that Allah is
The Everlasting, whose existence continues when all else perishes.
As The One Who Remains, He alone is eternal, beyond beginning and end, and His sovereignty never declines.

Al-Bāqī is rooted in the promise that while the universe will fade, Allah’s existence and mercy endure forever.
